Welcome to our REEWEN STAFFORDS web site.

We'd like to introduce you to a fun and loving breed of our Staffordshire Bull Terriers:

· Desiree (Desi) -2nd in charge

· Bazil and Pearl - the latest additions

OH, and of course us, Reece and Wendy. Well you may ask yourselves how did we get into showing dogs!! It all happened because of a lovely dog called Syd Vicious. A black boy we met in 1988 that was a friend's dog that we both had admired for his big welcoming grin and affection. We decided that when we purchased our next dog it would be a Stafford.

In 2000 our old Jack Russell, Pixie, died and as we missed having a dog we decided to enquire about a Staffordshire on the web. As we were informed of shows at KCC Park in Cranbourne, we toddled along to have a look. After scanning the horizon in the show shed on a cold winter arvo, we found group 2 and looked at types of Stafford's in the ring. My husband Reece said, who do we talk to and I pointed to a lady whom I said, she looks like she knows what she is doing. Thank you Selena, who was about to play a part in us getting our first Stafford.

Selena checked our pedigree to see if our lifestyle would be suited to owning a Stafford. She said we would have to wait for a puppy to become available. So we waited patiently for 6 months for a litter to be born. Linda Szirer, whose prefix is Borstaff, offered us a beautiful little bitch named Borstaff Bumble Bee, whom we named Madeline. Upon going to look at her we were greeted by Linda into her home which is a dog's dream paradise, looked at Maddy and fell for her. Linda asked us if we had thought of showing and I said yes maybe, as I had grown up in Gippsland around horses and pony club but my husband had no experience with the show world.

He was hesitant about showing but said we would come and have a look sometime. The rest is history, so to speak. Five years and 2 litters later, 3 bitches and one dog at home, the Ritz on wheels to travel dogs to shows and a motor home, plus a breeding plan for the future.

Whew, give us time to catch our breath!!!........................seriously, all jokes aside, we love what we do passionately, support the breed and the club and look forward to meeting our puppy people. Showing, it's in the blood now. All our kids are spoilt rotten and give us a great deal of personal pleasure. We have met great people and look forward to our weekends when we get to show and socialize. We hope this gives you a little window of insight into us and the breed. We encourage potential puppy purchasers to come along to shows and meet with people as it is a great way to introduce yourself to a wonderful breed.

Cheers

Wendy, Reece

Maddy, Desi, Bazil, Pearl.
